It costs approx. 3000-5000Rs for obtaining the tourist visa for application, visa including other miscellaneous expenses. For more information see the U.S. consulate in India site. For passport, it may cost another approx 2000Rs including miscellaneous expenses
 
Air Tickets The expenses involved in tickets may range anywhere for economy class from 30,000Rs. to 70,000 Rs. The cost of the ticket depends on many factors like :-

Class of Travel: If you are traveling by economy class, the ticket will cost as mentioned above. Traveling by business class costs a lot more , almost as double as compared to economy class).

Time of Travel: There are high and low seasons. Usually, from February till March end and from September till November end the prices for the tickets are low (approx. 35000 Rs. otherwise it is approx 55,000 Rs.)
Destination: Depends what your destination is in USA. Accordingly, the fare may change. Ask the travel agent about several options if you are not rigid on your place of destination.
 

Food Fast food centers may cost $3.00 per person like Burger King, Mc. Donalds, Subway,Taco bell, etc. Eating food from restaurants is generally expensive and may cost anywhere from $8-20.00. Cost will differ depending on the cities. Fast food items are not cheap at most of the airports!! Indian restaurants usually cost around $10-15.00 per person.
